Fall Festival Weekend in Clay County: What's On, What's New

October 15, 2026•4 min read

Clay County's biggest fall weekend is here. The Orange Park Fall Festival takes over Town Hall Park this Saturday and Sunday, a new breakfast spot just opened on Fleming Island, and 104 homes came on the market in Clay County this past week. Here's what's worth your time, and what the numbers say if you're thinking about buying or selling.

On the Calendar

Orange Park Fall Festival
Saturday, Oct. 17 and Sunday, Oct. 18 · 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.
Town Hall Park, 2042 Park Ave., Orange Park · Free admission
This is Clay County's oldest and largest arts and crafts festival, and it's the one locals plan around. Come early for parking, bring cash for the food trucks, and give yourself time to walk every row. The handmade pottery, quilts and holiday gifts go fast. (event listing)

Amazing Grace Family Farms Fall Festival

Event details can change. Check the organizer's page before heading out.

Around Town

Grumpy's is open on Fleming Island. The Jacksonville breakfast favorite opened its sixth location at 1803 East West Parkway, serving breakfast, lunch and brunch. (Action News Jax, Oct. 12)

The Expressway is changing the drive. The First Coast Expressway now runs from Blanding Boulevard through Green Cove Springs to SR 16, after the final Clay segment opened June 29. If you haven't tried it yet, it changes the math on commuting from Lake Asbury, Middleburg and Green Cove Springs. The new Shands Bridge to St. Johns County is scheduled for 2030. (Jax Today)

Clay County Market Pulse

The latest numbers from the Northeast Florida Association of Realtors cover September 2026 for single-family homes in Clay County:

  • Median sale price: $355,000, down 4.1% from August

  • Median days on market: 48

  • Closed sales: 219, down 11.7%

  • Homes for sale: 954, about a 4.4-month supply

  • Affordability index: 89, the best in the six-county region

Source: NEFAR September report via News4Jax, Oct. 8, 2026. Mortgage rates are the other half of the story: the 30-year fixed averaged 7.40% on Oct. 8, up from 6.30% a year ago (Freddie Mac).

If you're buying: You have more choices and more time than you did a year ago. Homes are taking about seven weeks to sell, which leaves room to negotiate on price, closing costs or a rate buydown. Get your payment numbers from a lender before you fall for a house.

If you're selling: Price to today's market, not last spring's. Buyers are comparing you against nearly a thousand other homes, and the ones priced right from day one are the ones that move.
